My name is Roy Somech, I’ve been a full-time professional photographer for almost 20 years…

When I started Photography By Roy in 2006, I was a ‘kid’ in my early 20’s photographing couples and clients who were mostly older than me… I never imagined I’d still be here, photographing as a 40+ year old father of 3.
Marriage & parenthood have given me a new perspective on the work that I do and what I can give my clients, looking back at our own family photos is something I find myself doing constantly… and has given my work a whole new meaning and purpose.

The Experience
I am a professional and always excited about my work… And I want my clients to be relaxed and know they’re in good hands.
Being a very easy-going person, I’m always happy to go with the flow… I usually book one client per day, and always make sure there is no need to rush during a session.
Ask any of my clients and they’ll probably tell you my patience and professionalism are what stand out the most.

I work hard for each and every one of my clients and I like to think it shows in the results… I try to always go above and beyond my client’s expectations.
Photographic Style
My shooting style is always evolving, my preference is to shoot using more natural light and capturing lifestyle portraiture… So we’ll most likely shoot early in the morning or closer to sunset.

One of the best parts of my job is the people I meet and the long relationship I build with my clients and their families…
