My sessions are set in iconic locations across New York City, from Central Park, Times Square, and Soho, West Village and more (also serving clients in Long Island, Westchester & Connecticut).
My goal is to create a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere, letting me capture natural, candid and beautiful moments of you and your partner.

NYC Locations
Most of my portrait sessions take place on the streets of NYC. I have routes I like in many neighborhoods. Central Park is of course a very common choice.
I regularly shoot in Central Park, Times Square, Bryant Park, East Village, Washington Square Park, SOHO, Lower East Side, Dumbo, Greenwich Village, West Village, Chelsea, Meat Packing District, The High Line, Union Square.
Whether you have a location in mind or are completely open to suggestions, I can help you choose some of the most photogenic areas of NYC.
Wedding Day Reshoots
While I don’t actually photograph weddings, I’ve had clients over the years book a session in NYC because they wanted something different than what they had on their wedding day.
Whether you’re just looking for a reason to wear the dress again, or want to capture something that was missed… I would be happy to work with you!

My fiancée and I used Photography by Roy for our engagement photos in Central Park and we are so impressed and pleased with the final product! We were on a tight schedule and only had a few days available for our engagement shoot, Roy was beyond accommodating and worked within our busy schedules to get us in. Roy was very professional but also very friendly, we felt like we were strolling through the park with a friend of ours. He took us to a variety of spots in Central Park and towards the end of the shoot asked us if there were any locations within the park that we didn’t get. My fiancée had one location in mind and Roy was more than happy to walk there with us to take a couple more shots.
We had never done a professional shoot before and Roy helped guide us on what positions to take and what angles or subtle movements would look best in the photos. He was also happy to hear our recommendations and let us know his thoughts. We were a little uncomfortable at first since a photo shoot was new for us, but Roy did a great job of being friendly and making us feel comfortable.
After the shoot, Roy sent the online link to us ahead of schedule and broke down the entire process through his emails on how we access the photos and how we share the link with others. We received the USB with the high res images ahead of schedule as well!
A couple months after receiving the final images we needed a couple of the high def images sent to us again, so we could send them to print. Roy responded right away and sent over the new files within a few minutes.
Only positive things to say about Roy and his work! Definitely recommend him to others looking for a professional, skilled, and friendly photographer!
